In Mexico, the traditional way to drink Tequila is straight, and, much like the Mexicans, the true Professional is a purist and eschews lime and salt as barbaric customs. I never do the lime/lemon and salt thing, it spoils the taste. I ended up in the sea “getting some fresh air” in mexico after few too many , I can’t swim.  The first time I ever drank Tequila I had like four shots, and I felt nothing.
